A Village Alive All Year Round
Around 150 people live year-round in the village of Hallaryd, with a similar number in the surrounding countryside. The village welcomes many seasonal residents and visitors who are drawn by the peaceful surroundings and genuine Småland atmosphere. Hallaryd is part of the municipality of Älmhult.
Activities for All
In the heart of the village you will find the activity park. The park offers a playground, an outdoor gym and a boules court.
Continue east across the bridge and you will arrive at the charming local heritage park. This is where Midsummer is celebrated and where the popular Hallaryd Day takes place every June. There are two churches, Hallaryd Church and Betel Church.
Excursions, Music and Summer Atmosphere
Bring a picnic and enjoy the tranquil setting by the Helge River in the Heritage Park. During the summer months, the park hosts a variety of events, including sing-alongs and traditional fiddlers’ gatherings, creating a warm and festive summer atmosphere. Åvallen is our legendary sports club’s home ground, centrally located in the village.
Venues and Dancing to Live Music
Several venues in Hallaryd can be rented for both small and large gatherings, including the Sockenstugan, Hallarydsgården, and Hallaborg. At Hallaborg, you can sometimes enjoy dancing to live music.
